OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE BLACK STUDENTS OPPORTUNITIES TO CULTURAL EXPERIENCES THAT WILL NOT BE LIMITED DUE TO INAFFORDABILITY OR LACK OF OPPORTUNITY.
Dr. Mayes explains how culture experiences helped to shape the classroom. Dr. Keith Mayes is an Associate Professor of African American & African Studies at the University of Minnesota and the College of Liberal Arts’ Arthur “Red” Motley Exemplary Teacher. Holding a Ph.D. in History from Princeton University.
Whether you are a parent, student, or even a charitable giver - EntreYouth is the non-profit for you!
EntreYouth engages students in organized trips to historical Black colleges and universities to provide them with insight on what these schools can offer!
EntreYouth encourages students to tap into their creative nature. Exposure to plays, museums, operas, comedy, and art allows them to develop life long skill sets and curiosity.
EntreYouth has found that mixing exploration with missions is the perfect recipe for helping students learn new places. Many students have not had an opportunity to fully learn the places they were born into, let alone other cities.
1/3 Black college students are first generation. A student’s life experience can be one surrounded by people with similar backgrounds and cultural experiences to make it easier while transitioning to college.
Students develop meaningful relationships with their peers and gain mentors early in life.
Exposure to fine arts is exposure to history, literature, art, and reading. Students are exposed to drama, theatre, music, singing, acting, plot, and more! All are important for children to learn.
There are many ways to involve yourself with the development of young entrepreneurs…
